CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES AT CROSBY...

Here at Crosby we believe that our students should have the opportunity to not merely attend their classes, but also to take part in our campus as well. Students and parents are welcomed throughout the school year to join us for our 'Learning Is Fun Night.' These nights are dedicated to showcasing ideas and practices being fulfilled in the classrooms. Students can assist teachers in the planning process for our Mathematics, Science, and Reading nights. Materials and handouts are provided by each grade level so that students may take them home to teach their families the strategies that they have aquired.

Homework Clubs are designed for students to participate in helping their fellow peers learn. Students are able to gain leadership skills as well as serve as a positive influence within our campus.

Gifted and Talented students work on grade level projects throughout the school year. They use critical thinking/reasoning, and collaborate on ideas for product presentations. Toward the end of each school year the 'Showcase of Minds' products will be displayed for parents to view and discuss with our GT participants.

Crosby Elementary also holds our yearly Campus Carnival. Students, parents, and the surrounding community are welcome to join us for food, games, rides, and fun.

The Crosby PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is actively involved in creating an environment that helps our students succeed. PTA sponsers various activities and events throughout the school year. Meetings are held monthly with a closing performance given by our students. You are highly encouraged to come join us to provide input and support of all our Crosby boys and girls. Everyone is welcome to become a member of Crosby Elementary School's PTA.

We encourage you to become a volunteer this school year. Team Crosby celebrates our VIPS (Very Important Parents)!

For Our Faculty and Staff Members:

Technology Leadership Cadre.

Our Technology Leadership Cadre is comprised of members of our faculty whose intended purpose is to help promote technology uses in the classrooms. Our Kindergarten team, composed of Mrs. Norma Gruver, Mrs. Elizabeth Gonzalez, Mrs. Adrinn Duran and Mrs. Martha Lugo, have taken on the responsibilty of providing professional development and support in technology. Parents, students, and community members are encouraged to visit these sites frequently as they will provide glimpses into the wonderful events occurring at Crosby. We welcome your feedback so that we may further enhance our campus communications with our community.

Let us reach beyond the stars this year!
